ELEGIBILITY

A blog to be eligible should be;

a) Managed by an OFW, Pinoy Expat or a Filipino or half-Filipino living abroad. Any Filipino blogger temporarily or permanently residing in a country and culture other than Philippines can be nominated or can join. Those Pinay or Pinoy married to different nationalities can also join.

b) Blog posts includes the life of Filipinos abroad, and must promote peace and goodwill.

c) Blog posts should be the source of inspiration and hope for Filipinos.

d) Blog post should enrich the culture and heritage of the Philippines and the Filipino people

CRITERIA and MECHANICS

a.1) A blog to be nominated should write an original blog entry (Filipino (Tagalog), English, Taglish) about the theme:

 

“Filipinos Abroad – Hope of the Nation, Gift to the World.”

or

"Pinoy Expats/OFW -Pag-asa ng Bayan, Handog sa Mundo."

 

Various ways of expression is allowed: Photo/s, poem, song lyrics, music, video, cartoons, drawing, with written post relevant to the theme.

 

a.2) The banner logo should be contained in the blog entry as image linking to http://www.pinoyexpatsblogawards.com

 

a.3) The link of the blog entry should be left at the comment section of the blog post  2009 TOP 10 Pinoy Expats-OFW Blog Award or send via email to peba09@gmail.com or top10pinoyexpatsblog@gmail.com

 

a.4) The blog entry will be one of the basis for the over all scoring. The 2009 PEBA pre-screening committee shall judge the blog entry using the following criteria for evaluation:

 

Form – 20%

Substance – 50%

Originality – 30%

 

b) Nominated blog should contain the Nominee Banner Logo of the 2009 PEBA on their blog and can be downloaded or copied at Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog Award Homesite.

 

c) A nominated blogger should only have one blog entered for the award, multiple blogs for a single blogger is discouraged.

 

d) During the final round and judging period the 2009 PEBA Selection Committee will request nominees to accomplish a survey form. The committee will then evaluate nominees based on the following criteria:

 

1) Content                30% 

2) Blog Element       15 %

3) Visibility/Metrics 15 %

4) Voting/Popularity 10%

5) Judges Vote           15%

6) Entry Blog Post      15%
